Retirement Planning:

While many advisors create a retirement plan using a Monte Carlo simulation, unfortunately we feel there are more shortfalls than benefits to those projections.

Instead, we develop our clients' retirement and spending plans using dynamic withdrawal rates, which we monitor and measure twice a year.

Tax Planning:

We take in the prior year's tax return and use tax software to test and ultimately determine a tax strategy each year.
​

Determine exactly how much tax withholding to apply on each income source with the ultimate goal of coming out neutral at year-end. This includes help on wages, pension, annuity, and IRA distribution income. We review our clients' total tax withholding and income twice a year to account for changes that might occur.

Gather all tax documents and prepare a tax letter that gets sent to both the client and the client's tax professional.

Annually compare our estimates with the final official filing. This helps us get the tax plan more dialed in each year, and makes sure no mistakes were made on the tax return. You wouldn't believe what we catch!

Investments:

​We customize our portfolios based on our clients' spending needs, not simply allocate to a cookie-cutter portfolio that everyone with the same "risk-tolerance" has - no matter the age, life stage, or dollar amount in the account. Why should a 65-year old have the same portfolio as a 35-year old?

We don't overcomplicate things. Too often we see portfolios made up of way too many asset classes and positions which are unnecessary and ineffective. Our portfolios are designed with intentionality and purpose, and typically structured to recreate a paycheck in retirement.

Do you have an annuity you don't understand? We call the annuity company with you to get the questions answered and explained in language you can comprehend.

Nervous about how to initiate a rollover correctly? We communicate with the Plan Administrator to make sure the rollover is done right without mistakes.
